Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated:
Some articles and pages on EcoWave Green (ecowave.green) contain affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and purchase a product or service, we may receive a commission—at no extra cost to you.
1. How affiliate links work
When you click an affiliate link:
- A small cookie (tracking ID) is placed in your browser by the merchant or affiliate network.
- If you complete a qualifying purchase within the cookie period (usually 30 days), the sale is attributed to EcoWave Green.
- The merchant pays us a commission from their own revenue. Your price remains the same.
2. Our selection principles
- We promote only items that align with our mission to cut urban carbon, boost resilience and support circular design.
- We apply a five‑factor scoring grid (Carbon‑Impact Δ, Energy‑Resilience Score, Biodiversity Index, Circular‑Materials Ratio, Community‑Equity Metric) to evaluate products.
- Affiliate availability never dictates inclusion or ranking.
3. Transparency & labelling
- Every post that contains affiliate links starts with this one‑line notice:
“This post contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you.” - Affiliate links carry a visible “(affiliate)” label or are preceded by a disclosure icon.
- This practice follows guidance from the ACCC, NZ ComCom and the US FTC.
4. Editorial independence pledge
Commissions help fund our research, but they do not influence our verdicts. Our reviews remain impartial, evidence‑based and free from sponsor approval.
5. Questions?
If you have any questions about our affiliate relationships or how we score products, email [email protected]. We’ll be happy to clarify.
